Port Jefferson Cruise August 13-14, 2022

Port Jefferson, NY

August 13-14, 2022

Cruise Captain:

As opposed to the Long Cruise, this can be considered an "MSSA Short Cruise" and is ideal for first time overnight cruisers along with veteran cruisers.

From the Village of Port Jefferson website:

Long Island’s hidden treasure is located 50 miles east of New York City, combining beauty and history with its picturesque water views and a rich maritime heritage. Port Jefferson Harbor is one of the north shore’s top destinations for boaters in the northeast and one of Long Island’s two ports for access from Connecticut. The calm waters of the harbor along with a deep draft, provides transient boaters with easy access to many unique shops, specialty restaurants and year-round cultural activities, all within a short walk from the marina docks.

Since this is a busy boating weekend we should try to book as soon as possible. To do so, visit the Port Jefferson Yacht Club website:, and reserve a mooring (or Dock) on the DOCKWA “Book Now” link for the night of July 11. Launch service is available from 8 AM to Midnight on weekends. Dock House Phone is 631-473-9890, and the Launch monitors Channel 68.

We plan to leave Mt. Sinai Harbor at about 1:00 PM, take a relaxing sail in the Sound and arrive at our moorings later in the afternoon.  Remember to leave time to walk around the Village if you wish.  We can all dine at one of our favorite restaurants (group’s choice).

Contact The Cruise Captain via email or telephone if you plan on attending.

Remember BYOB and fly your MSSA burgee high and proud!
