Fall Foliage Connecticut River Hamburg Cove Oct 20-22 2007 Print E-mail

This cruise is strictly dependent on the weather conditions at this time of the year. The fall foliage on the Connecticut river can be beautiful at this time of the year along with a dinner stop at historic Griswold Inn (since 1776) at Essex and an overnight anchorage in Hamburg Cove. The sailing trip requires a minimum of three days so you have the time to enjoy the river without being rushed for the return trip. I have done this cruise a few times over the past several years as the last hurrah before hauling out. If the weather forecast looks too iffy, we can always take the ferry over and drive to Essex for a leisurely 2 1/2 hour ride by rail and water through the natural beauty of the Connecticut River Valley on the Essex Stream Train & Riverboat Ride

Please let me know if you are planning to come along so we can adjust plans accordingly.
