This message is for those members that have a dinghy in the rack without a town sticker!!

Sunday morning I decided to go check my mooring before I bring my boat from Northport to Mount Sinai. During the week prior to memorial day weekend the town decided to remove all dinghys in the racks that did not have a town sticker. They moved all dinghys to a location approx. 1500 ft. west of the tower all piled up in the sand. I could not believe my eyes when I went to look for my dinghy and found 40 to 50 dinghys scattered all about. Mind you they cut my chain because my dinghy was locked. Needless to say I do follow rules having a 2005 and 2006 sticker from previous years.

The town workers in the tower claim they had nothing to do with this act of total disregard of boaters who have a dinghy and use the mooring field. I asked why didn't the town send out a letter to notify these boaters that they need to register their dinghy with the tower before a certain date otherwise their dinghy will be removed from the rack.. No, answer of course.
