The Association was founded in 1975 and now includes more than one hundred and fifty families. 2010 Regatta Sponsor This year's American Cancer Society Regatta brought together thirty three yachts in five divisions racing to raise money for a cause that unfortunately has touched everyone's lives, the fight against cancer. The support for this year's event was tremendous. Thanks goes out to all of our sponsors which was led this year by U.S. Trust and included generous donations from many local companies, groups and individuals. Also we thank the Mount Sinai Yacht Club for again opening their club up for the awards and after-party. Their support and partnership is critical to our success. The race results are posted on the ACSR page and don't miss all the pictures in our Photo Album .

We had a nice turnout for Start Night 1 on Tues 5/25. The weather was great sunny, and some nice wind. For anyone that missed it you have another opportunity on Tues 6/8 at Start Night 2! Damian will be your RC on Eclipse. Four boats came out to practice & compete – Anomaly, Eclipse, Kryenia II, and Starwood I was also fortunate to have 4 crew besides myself as your RC on Breezin. I really appreciated that help as it enabled us to run 8 separate starts, have some extra pairs of eyes to help judge & take notes, and I was able to take videos of all the starts.
Big thanks to Tom Cramer, Art Herrick, Jim Poulos, and Michael Belanich. As you can see from some of the pictures they were having fun. A little beer goes a long way to keeping crew happy J |
